Hello.
This is an important announcement regarding part-time employment for international students holding a D-4 Visa (Language Trainee). Please carefully read the following information and note that you can only work after obtaining confirmation from the International Education Center and permission from the Immigration Office.

✅ Basic Principles of Part-Time Employment
D-4 Visa holders are generally not permitted to work under the Korean Immigration Act.
However, part-time work (simple jobs) is allowed only after receiving confirmation from your school (International Education Center) and obtaining permission from the Immigration Office.

✅ Part-Time Employment Eligibility (D-4-1 Visa)

• Length of Stay: 6 months or more since visa change or entry date
• Attendance: 90% or higher average attendance
• Korean Language Proficiency: Meet any one of the above

✅ Part-time work permit hours (D-4-1 visa)
   1. Within 20 hours during the week

   2. 1/2 hours (within 10 hours) if Korean proficiency is not met

✅ Required Documents

• Application form, Passport, Alien Registration Card
• Academic transcript or attendance certificate
• Korean proficiency certificate (TOPIK etc.)
• Part-Time Employment Confirmation (issued by International Education Center)
• Compliance confirmation form & copy of employer's ID
• Copy of business registration certificate
• Copy of standard labor contract (including hourly wage & work details)

✅ Application Procedure

1️⃣ Visit the International Education Center and complete the confirmation form
2️⃣ Submit required documents for staff verification
3️⃣ Apply at the Immigration Office (HiKorea online or in-person)

※ Approval must be obtained before starting work.

✅ Permit Period & Location Limit

• D-4 Visa: Up to 6 months / Maximum 1 workplace
• Change of workplace requires re-approval

❗ Restricted Work & Prohibitions

• Construction, manufacturing industries, and labor dispatch jobs
• Working without approval or violating permit conditions → deportation

• Working without permission = illegal employment → deportation and penalties
• 1st violation: warning or fine
• 2nd violation: deportation
• Illegal construction work: immediate deportation without exception
